James Hooper Director
James has worked in Crop Insurance since 1997 with specific focus on cotton, broadacre and forestry underwriting. He has a Bachelor of Business (Agricultural Commerce) and also holds a Diploma of Financial Services. At Rural Affinity, James has responsibility for technical and operational functions.
Mike Kilborn Director
Mike has tertiary qualifications in agricultural science, insurance and management. He has worked in the rural insurance industry since 1995 in a number of key senior roles for some of the country's largest rural insurance companies. At Rural Affinity, Mike has responsibility for distribution and marketing in WA, SA and Southern NSW.
Alex Cohn Director
Upon completion of tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Business, Alex has worked in the rural finance and insurance industries in a range of account management roles with exposure to several agricultural industries. Alex has spent most of his career in rural Queensland and has a strong empathy with country Australia. At Rural Affinity, Alex has responsibility for distribution and marketing in QLD, VIC, Northern NSW.
Phil Weir Technical Manager
Phil commenced his career in insurance in 1995. He has worked in insurance broking and with two of Australia's largest insurers where he was responsible for the product management of both crop insurance and rural packages in Australia and New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a MBA. At Rural Affinity, Phil has responsibility for the technical and claims functions.
Rowena Hubble Finance Manager
Rowena, a certified practicing accountant, was the financial controller and Company Secretary of McDonald's Australia until April 2007. Since then she has worked with a number of small companies, streamlining processes and performing their financial duties. At Rural Affinity Rowena is responsible for accounting and finance functions.
Deane Stroud Account Manager, South Australia
Deane has been involved with Crop Insurance for 35 years having completed his diploma with the Insurance Institute. Most recently he has been employed for 27 years with a large rural insurance underwriter in a number of managerial roles and as senior underwriter for Crop and Rural products. At Rural Affinity, Deane will be responsible for product distribution within South Australia.
Rosita Keyanian Claims and Finance Officer
Rosita has worked within the finance and insurance industry for the last 9 years. She joined Rural Affinity in 2009 and currently holds a dual role as both a claims and finance officer. She has a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Sydney as well as a Diploma in International Trade & Business Management. Rosita is fluent in Spanish as well as Farsi.
Joseph Ngarimu Account Manager
Having completed tertiary qualifications in Agriculture through Massey University in New Zealand, Joseph has technical and practical knowledge of the Agriculture industry in both Australia and New Zealand. Moving from New Zealand in 2005 where he was a Livestock agent, Joseph has gained experience and qualifications in business and marketing through various companies. Having joined Rural Affinity in 2011, Joseph has responsibility for account management.
