Climate Summary

The 2013 winter cropping season is off to a good start with most areas receiving excellent planting rain. NSW, Victoria and South Australia have received substantial follow up rain leading to a favourable prediction for the season.

Based on the Bureau of Meteorology  forecast; the probability of exceeding median rainfall for most of Western Australia, from July to September, is less than 50%. The rest of the country has a more positive outlook with a 60 to 80% chance of exceeding median rainfall.
